hiv affects people differently. A person can live with the virus for years and never get sick. I am sure Magic Johnson is taking very good care of himself which is keeping him healthy. He works out everyday, eats right, probably only drinks on occasion and doesnt smoke. In addition to that, Magic Johnson has a great support system in his wife and family and countless good friends. The social support he has also plays a very big role in his health too.
